Thank You.. :)
Haven’t been feeling great for the past week, and James departing for Auckland this evening made me feel way worse. Won’t see him for the next 2 months or so. Damn long lah. Sian. I know, I know, this doesn’t exactly relate to my post title, just read on.
So I drove home from the airport by myself, stopped by the letter box and found a letter from the university for me, got out of the car, opened the letter while walking back home, and read this:
.. As a result of this review it has been determined that, with effect from the 2010 academic year, international students who gain NZ PR/citienship while enrolled in professional programmes with restricted entry will be eligible to be reclassified as domestic students for tuition fees purposes.
Finally, my dream did come true.
I cannot imagine how hard Mum has to work to see me through all 6 years in medical school paying international fees, I cannot imagine how HUGE my student loan is gonna be, without this little help from the university. This will be nearly $50K off my student loan.
The burden is still on me (and Mum), but it feels way lighter now. I am very very thankful.
All I need to do now is to successfully graduate from medical school this coming year!! It’s my ultimate goal of the year! Yeahhhhh~!

GRADUATION!!!!
i think this weekend’s been the most fun one of the year! LOL. i sound super no life.
anyway!! it wasn’t just james who was graduating… it was also my seniors plus quite a number of my friends as well! i guess being in the health science profession most of your friends tend to be in the same field too! so yesterday was the health science graduation ceremony, and it was nice seeing so many of my friends who’ve been away for a couple of years (in christchurch/wellington.. or even in dunners but i never/hardly see them around) ALL AT THE SAME PLACE AT THE SAME TIME!!
and they were all dressed for the occasion; in their regalia, hood (in different pretty colour for different faculty!!!), and hats, accompanied by their family and friends.. (: this feeling is indescribable. in simple terms, i feel warm and snuggly inside hehe.
PHOTOS!! not many taken actually cos i ain’t got a PRO camera that takes awesome shots, i’m not a v good photographer anyway, and the weather was lame yesterday ==
with james and his parents in front of the all-famous clock tower in our campus!
more photos after the jump!
wahh winter wonderland!!
it’s snowing.. on my blog!
better hope it doesn’t snow here in NZ. it’s spring here at the moment! ^^
YUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
Got this in my inbox today!!!!!!!!!
Dear All
CONGRATULATIONS – I am very pleased to inform you that you have successfully passed the fifth year examinations and may now officially proceed to the sixth year, commencing Monday 23 November 2009.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This has got to be one of the happiest days of my entire life.
感谢主!!!!!
James treated me to Nova dessert – Yummy chocolate brownie nomnomnom. ^^ Cos it’s our 31st month-sary too!!
I am so happy… Now I can enjoy my Melb trip like NOONE’S BUSINESS!
I think I’m absolutely brimming with joy. I can’t see myself, but I can feel it!! It’s been 4.5hours since I read that email and I just can’t contain my happiness! Ahhhh! I want to hug everyone I see! Lol!!
My Christchurch classmates, HANG IN THERE!!! You will find out TOMORROW! I reckon it’s so unfair for you guys cos both Dunners and Welly already got results.
In the meantime, I think I’ll continue staring at my air tickets and try not to hug any random person. Oh, and not hug my sister too hard cos I already hurt her when I hugged her today LOL.
Out!
muffin break!
FINALLY!
After a looong time, I’m back to baking again.. (: And it was James who asked me to bake, which is a very weird thing of him to ask. He ABSOLUTELY hates me baking cos:
- I will make the kitchen messy and smelly
- He doesn’t think I bake well. *super sad face*
- He doesn’t like pastries anyway. *pfft*
But this time, he’s asked me to bake because he thought it would be a ‘cheap’ way to have some midnight snacks; he’s trying to save some money and doesn’t want to spend money on chips and chocolates! (he is ALWAYS hungry) So maybe that’s why he decided to give me another chance to prove him wrong! And I did
Ohohoh, and my dearest friend V lent me her camera for my melb trip! That’s why I can take photos now yay. (:
ello dis iz me =.= no yellow scarf though AHAHAHA. (i’m being mean.. teasing someone on youtube)

Ingredients for my Cappuccino Chocolate Chip Muffins! I’ve made them before, but need to refer to recipe again because the last time I baked was eons ago.
BEFORE
AFTER!
At first when I saw the muffins, my heart sank, because they didn’t look as pretty as I expected them to be!
So I just asked James to come try, and somehow he was so happy that I actually baked and thanked me heapsss, but I warned him that they might not be very yummy + super sad face.
He tried, and surprisingly, he said it was yummy! I was like ‘WHAAAT..’ and asked him a mark out of 10. He said FIFTY. AHAHAHAHA. What the.

yes, james IS wearing my ACJC jersey.
So I tried abit of my baking, and it was actually quite good! James likes it crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Yay!! Success! Muahaha. I have proved James wrong YAYAYAY!

2 more days to MELBOURNE!
